Ice Cool Productions was founded in 2004 and aims to provide only the best services to our customers.
We specialise in filming various events, video editing, running discos, and anything involving Lighting,
Video or Sound.
We’ve
now organised 3 discos for Trinity School, the last one was for 500 people. With our new set of equipment, we aim to make
your night louder and even better than promised!
Technical Info Video For all video editing,
we use Final Cut Express HD - a program
used by many professional video companies. We film using a 3CCD camera, with a
22x optical zoom, and manual and automatic focus. The camera records onto mini DV tape, which
we then import (via Firewire 400) to our 1.5 GHz PowerPC G4 processor Power
Book, which runs on the Tiger (Mac OS X version 10.4.6). From there we can
export it to either VHS in our specially designed editing suite, or we can burn
it onto DVD with our external 16x DVD± RW burner (again, connected via Firewire
400).
Sound
Our speaker
system is Omnitronic. Both speakers have two 15 inch drivers large magnets and high frequency horns.
The specifications of the speakers are as follows;

Lighting Regrettably,
due to lack of funding, ICP doesn’t have that many lighting effects at the moment. However, we are gradually working
on this, but at the moment, we have;
An Alligator (sound-to-light operated,
with two powerful 300W bulbs that turn in time to the music and project patterns onto the walls or over the crowd through
different coloured lenses)
3 Strobes
A smoke machine
A bubble machine
A sound to light complex, which
analyses the frequency spectrum of the sound waves and flashes multi-coloured bulbs accordingly.
A mirror ball
2 pin spots
A ‘Birdie’ (12v spotlight,
small, yet very effective)
Mojo Spinmaster III (this incredible
effect has a drum of mirrors, which has different colours and gobos projected onto it. The drum can move so the mirrors spin
and then the drum rotates as well. This effect can either be DMXed, or run its own show using sound-to-light)
‘Colour dome effect’
– this spins round, and acts a lot like a mirror ball, but shoots different coloured lights off onto the walls, creating
a very interesting effect.

looking into buying dimmers, par cans, and a lighting board with the funds we have so we can also do more serious stage productions,
as apposed to just disco equipment!
